LivaNova has developed dedicated programs for minimally invasive cardiac surgical (MICS) approaches in aortic valve replacement: for right anterior thorocotomy, and mini-sternotomy. Learning objectives emphasize a team-based approach and include cannulation, perfusion and anesthesiology protocols, instrumentation and surgical approaches.
While our primary training focus is on minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, we offer courses on mitral valve repair and support all surgical approaches.

In order to provide high quality training, we have implemented a structured proctor program with several steps beginning with an evaluation of the candidate proctor profile through a continuous engagement process. This program is comprised of both North American and International surgeons with extensive experience in the use of Perceval who serve as proctors in the training of new and existing Perceval users.
