Project Description

Expanded applications and techniques with the Perceval Aortic Valve hosted by Dr. Reed Quinn

A comprehensive open chest or mini sternotomy training experience at Maine Medical Center involving multiple surgeons and a variety of surgical applications for sutureless valves.

Doctor Reed Quinn

Hosted by Division of Cardiac Surgery Maine Medical Center

As a master Proctor for the Perceval valve, Dr. Reed Quinn and his partners at Maine Medical Center have been using the Perceval Valve since the FDA trials to approve this technology were conducted. All six surgeons at Maine Medical use the Perceval in a wide variety of innovative applications from the minimally invasive approach to advance techniques in complex concomitant cases. Surgeons and their staff are welcome to visit the Medical Center and observe a case. The Maine Medical Center hosted the first Sutureless Summit in June of 2019 and is planning future Summit programs. The group’s extensive experience with the Perceval will afford attendees the opportunity to discuss and clarify complex questions.
